Coconut Macaroons - gf

1 1/3 cup flaked coconut

1/3 cup sugar

3 Tbs all purpose flour (use GF flour instead to make this an acceptable desert)

1/8 tsp salt

2 egg whites

1/2 tsp almond extract

 

Combine coconut, sugar, flour and salt in mixing bowl.  Stir in egg whites and almond extract; mix well.  Drop from teaspoon onto lightly greased baking sheets.  Garnish with candied cherry halves if desired.  Bake at 325 until edges are golden brown.  Remove from sheet immediately.
